I hit a car with my car this evening. I’m OK. My car is OK, but the hood is scratched and has a gouge in it. Feeling like a dumbass right now. And feeling lucky that it wasn’t worse.

Other than that, life has been fairly pleasant lately overall. Work is going well so far. The commute isn’t killing me (even though it sucks). I’m excited for and proud of Liz completing her first semester. I’ve met a lot of cool gamers (and some cool people too), but I must admit I haven’t been socializing much.

The only thing that has been tighter than expected is cash flow. Apparently the raise I received after I moved was eaten away by taxes, gas and winter clothes. No biggie, just need to rejigger a couple of things.

Oh yeah… one last thing. The temperature is supposed to drop about 30 degrees tomorrow. Yikes!

  • yikes… glad to hear that both you and your car are ok! sometimes a car problem + cash flow problem can conspire in a most unpleasant manner. :/

*wishing you and liz continued happiness in Shamu’s bandanna*

  • Deck the halls with eggs and chocolate? fa la la la la la la la yuck! Never heard of easter caroling either… but I bet that made for an interestingly surreal experience nonetheless – seems like they do stuff different up there in shampoo banana…;)

  • I empathize, though my drive isn’t quite as long as yours is, it is a bit more frequent. It is draining, but I don’t think moving to Brevard is really an option..

  • One of the things I did to improve the performance on my DSL was to install a DSL splitter between the Bellsouth/At&t box and the rest of the phone system. Each DSL filter(the dongles that came in your kit) you have will slow you down. See Home Wiring Advice website (http://www.homephonewiring.com/dsl.html). I also put in a ground on the DSL phone line at the same time to protect the DSL modem in case of lightning strike. If you are in an apartment, then it might be a little different.

Today my area has been dropping in and out with DSL connection though.
