Took to the Emergency Room on Saturday.

After a few tests it was revealed that she is a healthy female specimen (as if it was in doubt). The one oddity of note… her ovaries are slightly different in size. At any rate, she is fine though still in pain. She’s having another test done today.

The emergency doctor’s explanation sounds the most plausible thus far. She’s probably still recovering from the “E.Coli Episode” of two weeks back. I probably also had an “E.Coli Event” but just never realized it. Apparently there was a party in my intestines and I wasn’t invited.

So she and I spent the weekend watching movies and keeping a low profile.

In other news… I bought three new CDs…
Ozomatli (haven’t listened to it yet, but I’m sure it’s good)
Calexico (love it… LOVE IT!!!!)
The Roots (haven’t listened to it yet, but I’m sure it’s even better than Ozomatli)

Unfortunately, I left them at home so I will be musicless on my flight to Denver today. Bummer.

    1. Ozomatli might be described as a jam band. They’re a multi-cultural group and their influences run the gamut from soul to rock to rap to jazz to mariachi music. Always a dance party when Ozomatli is playing in the background.

Calexico has been around for a really long time. I was really surprised that they had somehow slid beneath my often very powerful musical radar. This is another band that mixes genres. Very influenced by southern california mexican music and lowrider culture… but not so influenced that the casual listener will see the influences right away.

The Roots is hip hop done right. Take one of America’s best drummers laying down sweet beats… add amazing vocal delivery… add two human beat boxes… add just a hint of social consciousness… mix and pour.

      1. *has ninjas listen in and record information!*

        Bwahahah.

I hate when there’s a party in my pants… er, intestines, and I’m not invited. 🙁 I always end up dealing with the hangover, as it were.

Did that Saturday too. Yar. I think though I can blame it on the alcohol consuption of Friday. Wine and a bottle of sake.

        1. Yeah… I had a little bit of a hangover one day last week. It took me about 3 hours at work before I could actually think straight. ;p
