Looks like today the honeymoon is over.\u00a0 The Metra train from Lombard to Chicago was over an hour late.\u00a0 In a moment of wisdom, Metra decided not to charge the angry, waiting riders.\u00a0 Still…\u00a0 that’s a lot of time to waste at a train stop.\u00a0 Can someone say suck.<\/p>\n
The worst part is that I was supposed to meet a buddy for dinner to celebrate his new job.\u00a0 Since I didn’t know how long the train would be I called it off.\u00a0 We rescheduled for next week.<\/p>\n
Then my very cool bike decided today to have a weird problem.\u00a0 The latch that keeps the folded part together while riding decided to loosen.\u00a0 Fortunately, it stayed together enough for me to get home without much fuss.\u00a0 I was able to fix the problem when I got home tonight (I hope).\u00a0 Fingers crossed for the ride tomorrow.<\/p>\n
In other news, my boss is nuts.\u00a0 He’s basically forcing everyone to change offices.\u00a0 I think it’s his way to keep our minds off the recent layoffs.\u00a0 I have news for him…\u00a0 not really working.\u00a0 And joy of joys… I get to move into a windowless office that is half the size of my current one.\u00a0 Yay?<\/p>\n
