You can comment here or <a href=\"http:\/\/lalato.com\/wp\/?p=31#comments\">there<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The title of this post should be sung to the music of the famous Box Tops song &#8220;The Letter&#8221;.\u00a0 Seriously.<\/p>\n<p>Got a letter in the mail from the IRS stating that we owe an extra $1000 from our 2006 taxes.\u00a0 It&#8217;s entirely possible that I missed something, but I doubt it.\u00a0 I&#8217;m pretty meticulous when it comes to taxes.<\/p>\n<p>That said, it was the first year we filed together, and it&#8217;s also the year we moved to Illinois.\u00a0 So there were a lot of bits of paper that year, and the discrepancy is apparently some income Liz had from the university.<\/p>\n<p>As you can imagine, having to pay an extra $1K out of the blue isn&#8217;t exactly a welcome thought.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s to hoping the IRS made a mistake.\u00a0 Otherwise, there are some trips later this year that aren&#8217;t gonna happen.\u00a0 <img src='http:\/\/lalato.com\/wp\/wp-includes\/images\/smilies\/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' \/> <\/p>\n<p>&#8211;sam<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Originally published at Kickin&#8217; the new Kuh-nowledge.
