{"id":1508,"date":"2006-06-04T18:38:00","date_gmt":"2006-06-05T00:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lalato.com\/blog\/2006\/06\/04\/ichetucknee\/"},"modified":"2006-06-04T18:38:00","modified_gmt":"2006-06-05T00:38:00","slug":"ichetucknee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lalato.com\/blog\/2006\/06\/ichetucknee\/","title":{"rendered":"Ichetucknee!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Went to Ichetucknee Springs yesterday with <lj user=simmeringsiren>, <lj user=doubtofbuddha>,<lj user=halelah>,<lj user=simmeringsiren>,<lj user=a_strange_day_>, Kim_who_hangs_with_Chris, Shannon_old_friend_of_Liz, <lj user=katesum35>, Omar_Katy&#8217;s_BF, Ashley_Katy&#8217;s_Friend, and Ryan_Ashley&#8217;s_BF.<\/p>\n<p>Wow, I hadn&#8217;t been there in about&#8230; oh&#8230; 25 years!  It&#8217;s still as pristine and beautiful as I remember it.  The main difference is that you can&#8217;t go up on the banks and jump off if you want, but that&#8217;s probably for the best.  You also can&#8217;t bring anything but your tube.  All other items will be confiscated!<\/p>\n<p>There was supposed to be a 40% chance of afternoon showers yesterday, but by some fluke of nature, it started to rain when we arrived at 9:00 AM.  Downpour&#8230; with LIGHTNING!  We were determined to have a lazy day on the river so we waited a bit until the rain let up.<\/p>\n<p>The water was COLD!!!!  72 degrees year round.  Once we got settled I started showing off my mad tubing skillz!  Hell yeah!  A great time was had by all.  Beautiful scenery and good friends.  The only thing that could have made it better was beer.  \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>We made it home after a nice dinner at Red Lobster, though I probably would have been happier if we had eaten in the small town (High Springs) next to Ichetucknee.  Not complaining, though.
