I’m not a meme person, but there are people here that enjoy this kind of thing so I thought I would send a note about one from our dear friend .

  • List five bands or albums or songs that you are genuinely embarrassed to have liked in the past. Genuinely embarrassed, I said–something that now makes you cringe and ask yourself why you ever liked it so much. Something to the effect of Milli Vanilli’s “Girl You Know It’s True” would be appropriate.
  • List five bands or albums or songs that you were once thrilled about, but now find yourself strangely ambivalent towards.
  • List five bands or albums or songs that practically everyone you know makes fun of, but that you love without shame and are in your record collection (I refuse to call them CDs or to acknowledge the existence of iPods).
  • List five bands or albums or songs that have stood the test of time for you, and you still like as much as you ever did. Maybe even more.

Enjoy…

    1. Damn you… and your privacy! 😉

Is it OK if I copy and paste it?

      1. Sure, buddy!

(Just for the record–can you believe we used to listen to the Depeche Mode album?)

        1. Hey… I still like that flies on the windscreen song. 😉

but for the most part, it hasn’t stood the test of time.

          1. I seem to recall “A Question of Time” being cool–I think I’m going to pull 101 out and listen to it later to review.

  • Part 1:

1)Limp Bizkit – Significant Other and Three Dollar Bill Ya’ll
    2)Blink 182 – Enema of the State
    3)Korn – Follow the Leader
    4)Disturbed (Just in general)
    5)Godsmack (Also, just in general)

Yeah…in middle school/early high school I had a lot of issues…my musical choices reflect that pretty well, I think. It’s funny, because I listened to better music in Elementary school(Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Green Day) than I did in middle school.

    Part 2:

1)Green Day – Dookie (Used to be my favorite album ever, back in the day)
2)Soundgarden – Down on the Upside
    3)Andrew WK – I Get Wet
4)Alice in Chains – Alice in Chains
5)Thrice – Identity Crisis(I still like The Artist in the Ambulance and Illusion of Safety, though)

    Part 3:

    1)Taking Back Sunday
    2)A Static Lullaby
    3)The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
    4)Blind Guardian
    5)NOFX

    Part 4:

1)Rites of Spring – End on End
    2)Minor Threat – Complete Discography
    3)The Clash – London Calling
    4)Operation Ivy – Energy
5)Armor For Sleep – Dream to Make Believe
